We'd love for your to consider us for your upcoming design project. And we'd like to make that decision easier for you by being as transparent as possible when it comes to our costs, terms and conditions.
Quotes
All quotations are based on the brief given. Should any additional work be required, your quotation will be amended. Please take due care and attention when checking quotations. All quotations lapse unless accepted within 30 days of the date given. All prices quoted will be exclusive of GST. Other charges (administration, stock images, plugins, CDs, printing etc) may also apply.
You will be asked to return a signed copy of your quote agreeing to our terms of service prior to commencement of work.
Editing and Proof Reading
You will be solely responsible for the content your provide for your web pages or printed materials. Lipstick Design Studio is not responsible for the proofreading or editing of any content unless specifically agreed.

Intellectual Property
All creation files and rejected artworks remain the property of Lipstick Design Studio.
Lipstick Design Studio may display or exhibit your branding, website or printed artwork for developing and marketing purposes unless specifically agreed otherwise.
How We Charge
Our hourly rate and minimum charge is NZ$45. Where package rates aren't specified, we bill by the hour. But only by the productive hour! We definitely don't charge for fluffing around or eating our lunch.
Deposit
Unfortunately, we've had a couple of bad experiences with non-paying clients, so it is now LDS policy to request a 15% deposit upon the acceptance of a quote for new clients. This deposit is fully refundable prior to the project commencement.
For new overseas clients, we now require a 50% deposit.

Payment Terms
Our competitive payment terms are 7 days. Artwork will not be released until payment has been made in full.
If you would like a longer term to pay, please discuss with us prior to the acceptance of your quote. Please note, in this circumstance our hourly charge may be changed to a less competitive rate.
We reserve the right to refuse completion or delivery of work until past due balances are paid.
Past due balances will incur a penalty interest of 5% per month.
How to Pay
We prefer direct deposit via Internet banking.
We also accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express via PayPal. However, choosing to pay this way will incur PayPal's payment fees, which will be paid at your expense. If you choose not to pay PayPal's fee at time of payment, the payment will not be accepted by Lipstick Design Studio. The current fee (at time of writing) is 2.9% plus $0.30 USD of the amount to be paid.
Please note, all artwork will remain the property of Lipstick Design Studio until final invoices are paid in full.

Revisions and Alterations
If the job changes to the extent that it substantially alters the original design brief, we will send you a revised quote, which you will be required to sign and return.
Author’s alterations and other copy changes requested after design work is completed are billed at our standard hourly rates.
Cancellation
You have a right to cancel your contract at anytime. In the event of cancellation you will be invoiced for the cost of the work carried out so far based on our hourly rate. If no work was completed, you won't be charged.
